The MTA is phasing out the iconic MetroCard and Instagram secured the opportunity to the design the last one. Both Instagram and the subway are places where New Yorkers express themselves every day. From busking jazz musicians to the latest gorecore fashion trends, the subway can transform into a stage, runway, canvas, or podium that inspires New Yorkers to express themselves in the most creative ways.
Through our partnership with the MTA we celebrated the creativity that happens every day on the subway with the last-branded MetroCard and 7 subway station takeovers in partnership with NYC creators.
